Tailored heating and cooling solutions 11 million reasons to smile Locally owned and operated business, Tambo Waste, has recycled more than 11 million containers, putting over $1million back into the local communities of East Gippsland and Wellington Shire since the introduction of the Container Deposit Scheme (CDS). Tambo Waste is a waste management company that was created to service what was then The Tambo Shire more than 30 years ago. Throughout the years the business has grown to service all of East Gippsland and the Wellington area. It is proudly locally owned and operated, providing a range of waste services that allows them to employ local people, while providing a reliable and friendly service to private and commercial customers throughout the greater region. Tambo's services range from large skip bins - delivered to your home for a week or two, for those spring clean outs we all need, to weekly kerbside collections for your private home or business. Their experience in the waste industry allows them to provide a range of waste options including general waste, recycling, green waste, confidential document destruction, builders waste, steel and scrap metal waste, as well as triple interceptor and grease traps. Most recently Tambo have created a depot for The Victorian CDS in both Wellington and East Gippsland. The Victorian CDS began late last year, providing Victorians with the opportunity to return eligible containers for a 10-cent return, per item. Locals have welcomed the recycling initiative and are now reaping the rewards according to Tambo Waste managing director, Murray Webb. "We are thrilled with the way our local communities have embraced the CDS, it's a great outcome to be able put so much money back to those that choose to have a go and participate," Mr Webb said. The depots, located in McMillan Street, Lucknow and Wellington Park Way, Sale are open Monday to Saturday to allow access to the wider communities. Patrons from as far as Orbost and Yarram are also accessing the sites regularly. While the East Gippsland Shire is one of the largest and geographically diverse regions in Victoria, Tambo Waste provides a comprehensive waste service throughout the four corners of the region. Within the Wellington area, you may know Tambo as 'Kwik Tip Bins', they've been operating there as Kwik Tip there for more than 10 years, providing the same wide range of services. Tambo Waste and Kwik Tip Bins continue to operate with the local community at heart, contributing to local sporting clubs and events throughout the region. Tambo are committed to developing further, to enable waste management and processing to stay within the local area, to stimulate the local economy and to keep locals employed. Since its humble beginning last November, Tambo Waste’s Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) has recycled more than 11 million containers, putting over $1 million back into local communities. 1300 131 807 Are you demolishing renovating?
